Wedding Spying: The first wedding event in UPLB's Carillon

A reliable little birdie told to me that there's a wedding happening at UPLB's Carillon today, 12.12.12.

See, I've lived and grew up in UPLB all my life and no one really had the idea (or maybe no one dared) to have their wedding/venue in UPLB's grounds, particularly the carillon.

The carillon is usually the venue for the Easter Sunday mass for the Catholics, but that's been long prohibited.

Today, we decided to take a peak and see how they're going to pull it off.

The first ever wedding event in UPLB Carillon

They had two male florists

They created a stage in the middle!

The tent is sturdy! I love!

I'm assuming this is where the photobooth goes.

My sister, Aprille Araguas of Aprille Araguas Designs, checking the place out. By the way, we also offer wedding/event coordination

The first ever wedding event held at the UPLB Carillon. That's the Rizal Carillon.

Changing Rooms for Men and Women

The couple: Enzo and Abi. The white stand on the left is where guests can have cocktails. They even provided ashtrays  when SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED in UPLB Campus. ( There are designated areas though)

Names made up of Styrofoam

Other designs

A peak in to the reception

Some of the flower arrangements

I love how the tent is a dome!

They even had chandeliers around the place and Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling

They used white tiffany chairs

What it looked like from the outside
The wedding is catered by BIZU. I think this is a Christian wedding. There was a rumor that those who will get married are newscasters, but again, those are not confirmed. A little birdie also said that they paid A LOT to make this happen.

When we got there, they haven't finished the set up yet and guests were already arriving. I even saw one highschool mate and a few familiar faces. I wonder if the one getting married in Carillon is someone we know? Because if you've lived all your life in elbi, you will always be a familiar face to those who grew up in elbi too.

It's 2:29 and the wedding is at 4pm today and here I am delivering the news. I wonder who are their wedding suppliers?

UPDATE: A little birdie told me that THIS IS NOT THE FIRST EVENT held here, but hey, it's the first one I've seen. :)

They're both from uplb. Uplb alumni who were freshmen from 1998 and 1999, both under CAS - BACA. Uplb is their second home. Not newscasters but both worked at GMA7. They spent their college years (& most memorable ones) in LB but they weren't in a relationship back in college, more of just acquaintances in humanities bldg & in similar classes. Yep, it's a christian wedding. Not familiar to some because they stayed mostly in manila. Abi also taught at CAS after graduating.
