To tab or not to tab: That, seriously, is the question.

I blame my friend Poch for the triggering this, well, mini obsession. He brought his iPad3 at Joy's party last weekend and I borrowed it and discovered a game called iSlash.

When I got home I had back aches from all leaning and slashing across the iPad and also from all the screaming. Yes, I am embarrassing to play with especially when it comes to exciting games. I'm not really a games fan. I don't even know how to play Plants vs Zombies. I downloaded iSlash and played it on my mother's ipad until she demanded her iPad back. Then that got me thinking, maybe I should get one? I'm the only one in the family who doesn't have a touchscreen apple product, but I feel guilty to only use it with just games. I keep converting the cost versus the other things to get (like travel, conference membership, other forms of financial freedom plans, etc.) and ends up with nah! Luxury!

I was lying in bed trying to catch up on my reading when I suddenly had the urge to BBM Frankie, an Apple fan and technology savvy friend, who I know recently got the Apple's iPad air. Last 2012, he got an a ipad and...

See Frankie's review after the jump!

Hihihi :)

I always trust Frankie to give a full review. Not really easily swayed but when he mentioned " You can kea-fize the content of your iPad ", Man, I couldn't sleep! I can already imagine the Apps that I will be downloading, not much of the games but other stuff like ebooks (yes, will try to embrace the digital versions now), download the Bible app (as recommended by Jla), do more of my sketches ( I do my digital sketches on my mother's ipad) and finally use my two stylus. I think I'm the only one I know who has two tablet stylus but doesn't own a tablet/iPad. Ridiculous!

And it doesn't help that I have it on my dream board on my 2013 planner.

And also this year's vision board.

I don't really see it very practical for me because it's not like I'm an interior/industrial designer and wedding/events florist like my sister Aprille Araguas, who uses it for client presentations and meetings. We got my mom an iPad two Christmases ago because we really want her to have it and because it turned out that she loved it and it's a great way to de-stress. We thought she'd be saying "That's luxury!" when she got the iPad, she loved it. (Like super love, she sometimes forget she still have daughters hihi. Joke lang.)

Frankie said, I can download Apps according to my lifestyle. But I am on a social media diet every weekend and have lost the urge to be on social media since I already social media for a living. But still, an iPad would be nice. But I don't want any of my family members to buy it for me. It's really different now. I don't have a kid yet but I don't feel like splurging all to my self. I would rather, as always, splurge if it's a present for my mother and sisters.

Last night, I had dinner at my friend Faye's. While we were talking, her daughter Cheska came down with an iPad mini. Faye is one of the most sensible and practical persons I know and she told me how she got her iPad. She isn't even the techie, gadget fan type. It was a present from her brother, who got it totally brand new as one of the many gifts from a supplier. In a nutshell: The free iPad found its way into her own hands, after saying jokingly that she wants an iPad since her daughter Cheska always plays with her iPhone til battery runs out. I told her that I've been thinking about it but biggest hindrance is I just don't find it practical for my lifestyle, then she told me: "That's what you think! Look at me!"

Dear Universe, I would like to have an iPad, but I hope I win it in a contest or something, or something like how Faye got hers. :)

Bili na Ate, hehe. Medyo anti-iPad din ako nung una kasi I didn't think I'd need one. Lalo na since may iPod and smartphone na ako. I'd much rather spend my money on camera equipment. Pero my mom, sister and 2 officemates (who I shared a room with) all had it. And whenever I would borrow theirs to play a quick game, hihirit sila na "uy, bibili na sya ng iPad". They would always tell me that you don't know how useful an iPad is until you actually own one. Finally, after one sem of them convincing me that an iPad was a good idea, I gave in and got an iPad mini. And I love it. It is very useful and very entertaining, especially if you travel a lot. I don't bring my heavy laptop with me anymore on short trips, and the battery lasts a long time :)

Waaah! Thank you sa insights. I'm trying really hard not to be swayed, as I don't want to spend for it. The ipad mini sounds so tempting! I have two friends with ipad minis and it looks so convenient! Kaso I don't have presentations naman to use it with. Nagiipon tuloy ako ngayon ng alibi. :)
