Last sunday night, I decided to pay my friend a visit and she surprised me with this gift:
I love how close friends really think of what to give you, you will know that depth of your friendship by the gifts your friends give you. It reflects how much they know you and they can tell if you will like it.
I don't just like it.... I super looooove it!!!

Money 101: Security Features
I remember my Kuya Stew ( my half- british cousin and who lives in UK) telling me that he gets confused with the Philippine Notes a.k.a. bills because it comes in many denominations.
They said that you will know if a country is rich by finding out how much is their biggest note. USA has $100 as the highest value, while our country even released a Php10,000.00 at one time (which I never really confirmed if it was real, but the highest that we have is Php1,000.00).
I had a good "How-to-tell-if-your-money-is fake" lesson with a friend who used to be trainer of one of the country's leading business establishments.
As much as I would like to divulge specifically the lesson, I'll just enumerate the things that I learned about our money today They are called Security Features.
The Security Features of our bills are:

The Security Features of our bills are:
- There is a certain bill that when you fold it and make both ends meet, it'll form a shape. (continuity is consistent)
- There is a secret or rather a super micro print at the back and in front of some bills that'll tell you if it's genuine. You will need to take out a magnifying glass in order to tell.
- Some bills have what they call a "concealed value".
- Those strips that we see inside the paper are part of the security features.
- You will know if the money is genuine if the hair of the person featured in the bill seems real.
- A certain note has a "Braille" on the surface of the paper.
I cannot disclose which is which because we wouldn't want to give hints to fake money makers on how they can make a fake money look real.
I wonder what kind of new safety and security features that our new Philippine Notes have?

Get Away
My idea of a get-away requires isolation from everything.
- No cellular phone
- No Television
- No internet
- No newspapers
I've been itching to have a getaway for quite sometime now. Like real isolation to it's truest sense. I want just my books and iPod just to keep me company.
I'm not even a beach bum but there's something about the island that makes me long for it.

I remember my Tito Bombet, when he was watching me paint/draw/sketch, it always involves a picture of a coconut tree, isolated in a island. It has always been a fascination of mine and he even asked me if I am lonely because almost all my artworks are usually about isolation.
Yeah, I think I need some of that isolation thing because somehow, I don't know why wherever I go, I always end up in or sometimes, somehow part of the limelight. There goes my anonymity.
I'm going to get my dose of a reality get away in a few days time before I get back to my life. I don't know how in the world I ended up to be one of those people who needed to cheat on reality and disappear for a while.

Just Gown Peg-ing
Early this morning I was watching reruns of Tyra show Wedding Divas when they talked about wedding gowns and the brides that wouldn't settle for anything less. They even asked some of their friends who are part of the entourage to:
- lose weight (like 100lbs before the wedding).
- get identical Indian braids (which are expensive and will NOT be shouldered by the couple).
and others. They even featured a groomzilla who is of course, the groom, who is more obsessed and into it to the wedding preparation and details than the bride herself who even asked his male buddies who are part of the entourage to hit the gym and get fit for his wedding.
Tyra asked the guest, David Tutera, who is a celebrity wedding planner, HOW perfectly normal girls who eventually become bridezillas. He said that he doesn't really know what's going on, but the transformation starts as soon as the ring was on the finger OR they just become bridezillas througout the wedding preparation process.
Anyway, since it'll be June next month, I figured out why join the bridal month bandwagon when I can post one now?
Divine Lee's Hair Tutorial 101
I was feeling a lil emotionally under the weather today so I decided to catch up on one of my favorite blogs DIVINE LEE.
If you're a "becky" like me, you would know why I am so into this blog and have endorsed this to many of my friends.
She's super nice and though she is an amateur in editing videos, she's a pro in self-hair curling. her blog readers have been bugging (actually it's more like demanding) that she post how she curls her hair and finally she gave in and made one! Yey!
I adore this woman. She spreads good vibes and no wonder she deserves to have a good life, good man and good becky friends!
I've been wanting to have my hair digitally permed however, since I got my hair rebonded early last year, I could NOT do so. Damn! I've been wanting to sport a wash and wear type of hair and going for curls seems like a good way to go.

McDonald's McFloat "MEMORY" TVC
Super Cute! I love new concepts and mixing of the "vintage" and "new".
I really have a soft spot for commercials involving grandparents... shucks. It makes me miss my grandma more.
I have no grandparent left. :(

Before anyone sue me for plagiariasm, Please be informed that I have taken this directly from a Tweet of @inquirerdotnet.
Adele's Turning Table
We are always in search for a perfect song to fit us in whatever mood and phase that we are in.
I already have Adele's Album, 21, before I even heard and watched Gwyneth's Paltrow's cover on Glee Season 2. I initially thought that this is meant for a friend of mine, until thing's come up and this song hit home.
So this song will be on repeat on my iPod until... further notice.
Click the video to hear the song.
