I've been living in elbi for the past two and a half years, and I know before Feb 14 arrives, the streets get crazy with flower vendors everywhere.
This is what it already looks like , Feb 13 in the morning:
Then mom and I got a really sweet surprise from my sister when she had bouquets delivered to our offices.
Flowers by Aprille Araguas Designs, of course.
I was already envisioning a dateless night, preparing to go home, then I got a text from my friends to spend the Valentine's night at the local bar.
I think it's a great strategy since majority of the Los Banos population is headed towards the UPLB Feb Fair. We had a really nice catching up session, since Rogus got married last month. Then my friend Dhoddie, gave me a gift which was probably intentionally, to tease and annoy the hell out of me, but turned out I wanted it because I've been told prior to this incident that it's a good luck charm! haha!

| Thank you Miggy! |
I have not had my annual Feb Fair photo with my friends, because last year I forced my friends to go on a photobooth session with me. On Saturday, the last day of the fair, my friend Paully and I decided to go to Feb Fair. Paully, to get some popcorn for her dad; me, for research purposes.
| Paully took this shot of the Jeep while I was driving on our way to UPLB. It means: Loving is expensive! |
The UPLB Feb fair is already commercialized. There are more outsiders than there are students/residents. The traffic in our cute community is really horrible. I must be getting old for I no longer enjoy the fair unless it's the pre-Valentine's day when there are fewer people to see and run into. Still I went to the UPLB fair twice for two important reasons: 1) I'm there with friends and it's just fun to walk around and check people/things/events out and 2) It's my feature assignment for work.
But, I will not go home without the Feb Fair obligatory photo booth session that I got Paully into. Then I remembered my friend Franco (and his friends) have a food booth at the fair, so we kidnapped him for a few minutes and obliged him for another photo booth session at the fair:
Funny, this year, the Valentine's pressure is not as bad as the past years. Maybe it's all in the mind that Valentine's is stressful, but honestly its not as bad as some people like to think about (been there!). Of course, I already had my best (so far) Valentine's day back in 2009, that, unfortunately, I am not allowed to get into details and blog about it. :)
I did have a good time that Valentine's and Feb fair week. I hope you all had a good one.
