I've been hearing about this cute little homey place called "JOE'S" somewhere in Umali Subdivision, Los Banos, near UPLB. I've been living in Los Banos since 2010 and it's only now that I had the chance to actually see and eat at Joe's.
We walked to what somewhat looked like a cute little secret place. This is Joe's.
I love how Kat and I were the only people (customer) in the place. Then a small group (who happens to know Kat as well) came in and sat at a different table. I honestly love December in elbi where there are very few students, nice, chilly weather and you get to bump into friends old and new from time to time.
We got inside the little room inside the area for privacy.
We ordered their best sellers.Kat ordered the beef and pepper something. (Man, why oh why did I forget?)
Kat said it's really, really good although a bit spicy but it's good.
I ordered their Cheesy Bacon Pasta:
Other stuff you need to know:
- We also ordered their blueberry cheesecake which I find ordinary.
- The prices are a bit pricey for students because it runs around 180+ per dish.
- I love the ambiance, it's Christmasy. I like the decors. It reminds me so much of a cabin house we visited in Baguio years ago.
- The restroom is really clean and well maintained.
- The location is behind the National Highschool. It's a hidden little place so it seems like it's out in the open.
- They serve fresh tomato sauce and they bake their own bread.
Thank you for taking me to this place, Kat! Til our next mega catch up date.
