Planner: Daily Interact + Certified Positive Planner

I am always on the look out for a new planner every year. I always want to pick out my planner because it is something very personal to me.

The other day, when Paully and I had lunch at Karne Frio, my eyes caught something on the counter: They sell planners!

While waiting for our orders, I asked the waiter if I could take a peak inside the planner and see what it looks like:

What I love about this planner:

  • Practical sections
  • really good paper ( I always, always, "feel" the paper)
  • Cute stuff
  • No coupons

But what I don't like about it is its got too much reading stuff on the planner (like the one on Miriam Quiambao). That's the reason I switched back to Everything is Possible planner from Belle de Jour.

Oh, in case you're wondering how much it costs, it's Php 540.00.

The BDJ Fair 2013: #Make It Happen

I wrote before that I am crazy about planners. The first Belle de Jour planner that I had was in 2009. I enjoyed it for three years and moved on to other planners of another kind. Last year, I bought a new planner from the same manufacturer of Belle de Jour planners. I'm thinking of getting it again because the planner promotes positivity.

I've been getting newsletters from BDJ that I usually just read/browse through the email until one day I actually tried signing up for the BDJ Fair last October 13, 2013 at SM Mall of Asia. I was not exactly sure if I can go, so I blindly signed my sister up too for a slot to see if she can accompany me and she got in too! Which means, we really are meant to attend.

Actually, the reason that I want to go is I want to meet, see, and hear my favorite Cosmopolitan Magazine  Editor-in-Chief, Myrza Sison, talk at the event. I'm so happy that I got a slot to listen to her presentation, but more on that on my next post

This is what the fair looks like on the second floor of SM Mall of Asia.

I found the perfect 2013 planner for me

I remember contemplating about planners last year. I've always been the one who's really obsessed about papers, pens and planners because I really use planners/organizers and my bag is really heavy because of it. I can forget a make-up kit but I feel incomplete without my planner in my bag. And because of this, I really enjoy shopping, searching, discovering new planners that would suit my current phase.

You see, I've had my share of acquiring the much awaited Starbucks planners for three years then moved on to Belle de Jour Planners. I was able to abuse enjoy Starbucks freebies such as buy 1 take 1 coupons on special holidays and free stationery. Belle de Jour is good but it has become too feminine and girly for my taste now.

When I moved to Laguna two years ago, I didn't get the chance to use my coupons free in the BDJ planner that I ended up just giving them away to my classmates in graduate school who lives in Manila.

Contemplation over Planners for 2012

Last Saturday I was able to check the planners at Starbucks and I really like how eco-friendly it looks like and how it's not as big and bulky as before.

But I don't want to consume all that frap (though I've been missing my favorite Peppermint Mocha lately...that's going to be a whole lot of Peppermint Mochas...). I've had my share of Starbucks Planners and I've always loved the first ones that I got. The one with many freebies and buy 1-take 1 coupons for every Philippine holiday.

Then my second favorite planner, Belle de Jour Planner 2012 is already out:

But I've had good three years with the Belle de Jour Planners that I think I am now ready to move on.

Last year, Joy and I received this really cute planner from "The-resident-mommy-of-our-highschool-barkada", Tita Beth:

Witty will save the world's 2011 Planner

I really had  a good laugh reading the witty lines inside the planner, but you have to be "Pinoy" to get the joke and the witty lines.

This year, I am looking for a smaller planner with the following characteristics:

  • Small but not a pocket planner
  • Very handy, light and easy to carry around
  • 1 page per day
  • Hard cover and with no label of "2012 Planner"
  • Must be Moleskine Resonably Priced

I saw one at National Bookstore but I forgot to get it thinking I might get a better one. Then, a few weeks later I came back and it's gone! It only costs like Php178.00.

Now I'm on a quest to search for my perception of a perfect planner for my lifestyle. I can really see myself searching for that planner like a maniac.

The Planner Phase

I've always had a thing for notebooks, paper, journals and planners. Whenever I see teasers about the red cups coming to town, two things immediately come to my mind:

1. I can't wait to get my hands on my favorite Starbucks peppermint mocha.
2. It means the Starbucks stickers and race for the planner is on!

I was able to collect Starbucks Planners before and enjoyed treating my friends during the freebie days ( buy one take one) and I really did take advantage of the coupons.

I was able to collect I think 3 or 4 Starbucks planners until I discovered Belle de Jour planners in 2009 (with more coupons) that made me switch in an instant.

Now, after 3 years of owning Belle De Jour Planners, I think I am on to another phase...
