I owe my friends a proper visit and I badly need to have my own R&R ( spell: Recharge and Reset) , so I went to see my friends based in the city. And because the best memories that I have remains private and not documented, here are the highlights of my quick "Stay-cation"
We went to a open grill house just to chill. This happens when you've been partying in the city since 16, you now retire early from the club scene and opt to go to beer garden types because you're just interested in life stories and booze. We went to a "middle-aged hang out" and ordered beers because our ultimate agenda has always been a "no holds barred" catch up.
 |
Oldies band after singing a string of classics played "nobody but you" and dedicated the song to the youngest customers in the house then pointed to our table and the entire bar/resto applauded. |
 |
Not really much of a beer drinker, because I prefer hard drinks. Tequila, Vodka, Cosmo, Margarita over beers anytime but I had four Gilbey's Premium Strength (after not having any GPS for two years) and still not sleepy... it's officially my favorite! |
 |
Waitress gave us the menu and made us choose an appetizer of our choice, saying it's ON THE HOUSE. Of course we chose the most expensive appetizer platter (no, actually it's the talkative, sarcastic bitchy me who did all the talking and chose this) and it turned out some guys sent it over and ended up paying not just the so-called on the house appetizer but our entire bill.

It was supposed to be a good night, until some "oldies" started on hitting on my friend, wanting to get our numbers so that we had to escape right away! And we thought we're too old for this. Haha!
 |
Taken Blurred. Because I managed to document even when drunk just to capture the moment where we had to drive fast and tour around the city so that our "Oldies stalkers" wouldn't know where we live. |
Where to hide? Only two options: Starbucks or Gay Bar. Mina wanted the Gay Bar, but I've been to one this month so I insisted to go to Starbucks instead.
 |
Starbucks saves the day! |
We went to the farthest Starbucks from home and had a good laugh about what happened then went home at around three in the morning, still talking non-stop.
 |
My two burrito posers.
We three slept on one bed even though there are three bedrooms in the townhouse. (Sweeeeet!!!) We slept at 4am just talking about what happened during the night then woke up at 7am just to catch up again.
It so feels like college again, we used to share the same dorm and I remember rushing home early from school just to see my roommates. |
We didn't even want to get out of bed until we got hungry then realized it's already 11am! So we had food delivered, went online to cyber stalk, laugh at some... stuff and decided to hit the nearest mall for a quick errand and chill out before me and Thea head home.
 |
We feel like we deserve a sweet treat after our quality time together, so we rewarded ourselves with UCC's Chocolate French Toast. (Taste rating: Just so-so) |
And, because my best memories and treasured private stories are best kept undocumented, my post ends here.
When was the last time you had a "Stay-cation"?
