Celebrity Cabbage Patch Kids

I remember having a Cabbage Patch Kid doll from my cousins. I’ve always loved it's chubby cheeks and there’s just something about the Cabbage Patch Kids that sends me directly to childhood.

Anyway I was reading Yahoo News this morning when I saw this limited edition Celebrity Patch Kids that is up for Charity Auction:

I saw this on this article: ( Note: Photos from the internet)

Kristin Chenoweth

Katherine Heigl

Steven Tyler

If I can request for a Celebrity Cabbage Patch Kid, here are the top celebrities on my list:

Michael Jackson
Britney Spears
Jennifer Lopez
Kim Kardashian
Mariah Carey

Can you imagine what they would look like ?

What if Mr.&Mrs. Smith had kids?

Have you ever wondered what if the character of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Mr.&Mrs.Smith, had kids?

I've always wondered how it would be like after watching the film back in 2005.

This pictorial from WMagazine was taken back in 2005 by Steven Klein, and this was believed to be the pictorial that "started it all".

Kirsten Stewart for WMagazine September 2011 Cover

Kirsten Stewart started out as Bella Swan at the age of 17 now she's 21 and all grown up! This lady deserves to be WMagazine's September 2011 cover!

Photographs by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott
Styled by Edward Enninful

Excerpt from the interview:
In Breaking Dawn, Bella and Edward, her beloved vampire, get married. What was the wedding like?

Awesome. This was my first wedding. It was insane. And odd. The wedding dress experience was a huge deal. I tried on one version of the dress, and it was like tweak and tweak and alter and tweak and change, and then it’s done. BFD dress. Huge deal.

How was the actual wedding?

It was major. The last Twilight book is filled with BFDs, things that people have been waiting for for so long. For me, it was ridiculously dramatic: I get married, give birth, the baby has an incredibly accelerated growth rate we’re all very concerned about, and I say goodbye to my dad for the last time ever. It was all big—I could never go, Whew, I’m losing this character.

Now I'm really excited for Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn!

P.S. Kuya Stew--- you are coming with me. Yes, I will be literally dragging you to this flick.

David Gilmore's Celebrity Cartoons

I came across this funny site of David. Since the passing of Amy Winehouse I've been googling stuff about her ( why is dead people suddenly so hyped and goog-able, eh?) then I came across to a site that featured David's work. Here are some of David's Amy Winehouse art works:

Some LGBT Celebrity Allies:  (captions provided by US Magazine)

Lady Gaga
"I've always had gay friends and I have been very involved in the gay community since I was young," the "Born This Way" singer told Fab Magazine. "I feel a moral obligation to defend my fan base and make the world a better place."
 Adam
Although he's "not into dick," the Maroon 5 frontman told The Advocate in 2007 that "it would be so much easier" if he were. "Because, you know, men have a certain camaraderie with each other that's easygoing and kind of simple, when you think about it."
"It's wrong to look down upon somebody or not let somebody marry the person they want to marry because of their sexual orientation," the reality star told The Daily Gay in 2010. "It doesn't make sense to me."

I have a feeling my days will be filled surfing the internet for LGBT stuff for this will be a part of my study. *still keeping my fingers crossed*

It's always hard to write the first lines that's why I am practicing not to be a mood writer.

Not Tempting Island

I'd like to start this of by saying that when they said it was a remake, they weren't kidding.

Temptation Island, a Joey Gosiengfiao  film in the 80's that starred four beauty queens; 1975 Mutya ng Pilipinas Miss Photogenic, Azenith Briones, 1978 Binibing Pilipinas - Universe Jennifer Cortez, Miss Maja Pilipinas 1977 Bambi Arambulo and Miss Magnolia 1979 Ist Runner Up Dina Bonnevie. The film is about a group of  finalists of a beauty  stranded in an island without food, water and shelter. ( Source: Here

We saw this movie last night and I had the same feeling when I went inside the movie house before and after the movie. This was the first local movie that I have seen this year.

It was more like this:

When it should've been properly like this:
If I'm really curious about the movie, I should have waited for it to be shown in PBO or Cinema one or any Sunday Late Night movie nights, but not in the movie theater.

Some good points though:
  • Rufa Mae Quinto provided good comic relief ( Thank God and good move to producers and Casting Agents!) - this should've been her show.
  • Twas a good thing they showed the "before" and "after" during the credits.
  • Nice outfits for the ladies.
  • Nice copy of the characters from the original version ( like the party girl  in afro).
I just didn't understand why the movie is worth to have a "remake'. We have so many talented young writers with so many new ideas fit for the generation today.

Anne Curtis taking the MRT

I was reading my favorite local celebrity blogs about their Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite Concert in Manila for the past few days and enjoying the pictures from their concert when I kept reading that Anne Curtis took an MRT just to reach Araneta on time.

I was like... really? For real?

I rode the MRT before (but not always because it's just five minutes cab ride from my pad to my office) and I love how, in the Philippines, the trains separate the women from men.

So one morning I was reading Kylie's twitter page when she retweeted Anne Curtis' picture:

@annecurtissmith's caption :

Hulaan nyo Kung nasaan ako para makahabol kay #Kylie? :p http://yfrog.com/h07nytej

She's such a sweetheart! :)

I think this is really cool of her to be practical and quick-thinking.
