Anyway, I've been hearing of the IRRI Riceworld museum as a good example of an Educational Communication Unit for quite sometime now so when Paulie and I happened to find ourselves around IRRI vicinity,we decided to give it a go. So for my Devc231 Classmates in grad school who wants to have a "framework" of what an EdCom looks like, this post is for you!
According to the the IRRI Riceworld website:
The Riceworld Museum and Learning Center was conceived as a showcase for the vast knowledge relating to rice. Learn about the antiquity and fascinating history of rice, the science behind rice production, the many uses of the rice plant, and the cultures that center on this most important crop.

I like that it's interactive and combination of both old and new and it surely shows keepin' up with the times.
