Cool and crazy fun Halloween group costumes!

I am a huge, huge fan of Halloween! I remember my first Halloween party when I was still living in Manila and when I dragged my friends to go a group costume party last 2010.

It was so much fun! I am glad that we did it again back when we were still considered in our mid twenties, otherwise it would be a little bit weird to donning those crazy costumes when almost half of us are either married, with a kid, or engaged.

Anyway, I was cooking something in mind about a celebration, that I came across these photos from pinterest. If you are in your twenties and have crazy fun, up-for-it kind of friends, coming as a group for Halloween is a fun thing to do...and a happy story to tell your kids...and grandkids. Here are some cool, crazy, fun costumes as inspirations:

1. Come as a roller coaster!

2. Bring out the Pacman game

3. Make every one assemble the Human Tetris

4. Come Trick or treating as a BLT sandwich
5. Join your artist friends and come as crayons
6. And my recent find...Loofas ( Paging @laiahdear, @Augustjam, @eisenbernar @paupauzamora, get ready for the #KEAoke #ComingSoon)

And more!

And I also know someone other than Heidi Klum who's also crazy about Halloween, right Frankie? :)

Halloween Camping

Tonsilitis kicked my sorry ass this year, so I stayed home, in bed, the whole weekend. The bad news: I have tonsilitis so I can't attend Halloween parties. The good news: I get to stay in bed, play couch potato, and watch The Big Bang Theory  marathon all day long. (and I blame my friends Joy and Poch for introducing me to the series.)

For the past years, I've been attending Halloween parties. I even remember my dad, being very supportive of my Halloween activities that he actually lent his vintage barong for my friend Rogus to wear! This year, now that Dad is gone, we decided to have a Halloween camping at the cemetery using  Dad's favorite things: Camping tent and his sleeping bag.

I don't really consider myself an outdoorsy kind of girl. The last time I went camping was January this year and all the boys took care of practically everything. I was just the one in charge of negotiating prices for discount rate on our day tour, but still hats off to the guys!

Anyway, we went to Eternal Glory Memorial Park on the actual Halloween night and we were one of the first ones to camp out. There's already a film showing at the cemetery so there are more people than usual. I was supposed to take photos of the first night, but it was so cold and our tent was so comfy that we fell asleep in no time.

So here's what it looks like in the first morning:

Because I could not find a yellow wig

"Were you wearing a wig last Halloween?"

I was not.

But yes, I guess it looks like a wig, especially when Ellis, mid-party asked if I'm wearing a wig and decided to give my hair a tug. Good thing I was wearing my real hair! LOL!

I initially looking for yellow wig but couldn't find anything affordable so I decided to go to Landmark and got this hair color spray.

It's written in what I think Chinese characters and it costs Php 79.95. I tried it on my hair first, a week before the party just to check if it really rinses out.

And it does rinse out with just Shampoo! Actually run it over with water and it'll start to  rinse out.

Here's my hair prior to the Halloween party:

Thanks Thea for taking the Photos and for "spraying" my hair

I consumed 1 and 3/4 bottles to make sure that it's really covered. It works like a spray net, it'll make your hair feel stiff at some parts and at some point some portion of the "color" will "fall" on your clothes, skin or something, but nothing to worry about. It's totally safe.

Heidi Klum: Hollywood's Halloween Queen!

It's already the second day of November and I still have the Halloween Fever!

I believe Heidi Klum is the Lady Gaga of Halloween. I secretly think that before even Lady Gaga became the Mother Monster, there already is a Heidi Klum which is Hollywood's Halloween Queen.

While she and I share the same Halloween spirit (close?) , I know, on top of her fabulous annual Halloween parties, I could not top her not even come close to her Halloween costume choices.

I love how adventurous she is when it comes to her costumes. She uses Halloween as her venue for a new adventure unlike those who constantly likes to whore it up!

Here are some of her costumes through the years that I got from my improving googling skills:

I also love how she manages to drag her hubby, Seal, to dress up as well.

But this year she topped herself with another fab costume. She tweeted pics of her being made up for Halloween.

And made a grand entrance by getting wheeled in an autopsy table:

This year, it seems Heidi is scary to party with, but these pictures made me laugh!

Can't wait to see what's Heidi's Plan for next year. Meanwhile... I gotta get back to work.

7th High Halloween Party

Last Friday I went to 7th High’s Halloween party with my friends from Highschool (@joyjarumayan and @rendhlroyce) and College (Mina and Thea).

Joy, Rolls and I have been friends since we were 12 years old (Ok joy 12 ka na din!) and I’ve been friends with Mina and Thea since I was nineteen!

Halloween Character Pegs:
Moi as the Pop Art Comic Icon
Mina as the Black Widow
Patrick as Zorro
Thea as The Groovy Drag Queen
Joy as the Corpse Bride
Ellis as the Corpse Bride’s Groom
Last but definitely not the least…
Rolls as the sexy playful bunny!

The preparation – I was going after the pop art comic icon but I got “face malfunction” so I decided what the hell? It’s Halloween!

We got hair color sprays for Mina and I and some leopard themed fake nails for Thea.

We had two couples geared up for Halloween! Mina and her Zorro, And Joy the Corpse Bride and Groom!
Monster RX93.7 hosted the event, most of the crown are youngsters and college kids partying.
Tequila: The Best way to start the party and get people’s mood going!

Is it obvious that I am more interested in blogging that I hardly took pics of myself and behind the scenes? I came prepared to stand up and party so I wore my trusty Chuck Taylors and went as a Pop Icon Comic Art rebel.

When Joy the Bride got tired of dancing in heels, her sweet beau, Ellis switched his comfy shoes to wear her white heels. Kyooot!
Here are some foot shots that I took. They literally took off their shoes to dance!
Ladies and Gents, Joy and Ellis officially got married! Check out the priest!
But wait, my favorite for the night is none other than the sexiest, wildest, voluptuous bunny of the night! None other than my good friend Rolls.

Here are more pics from the party:

Thank you Cookie Royce for the guest list! Sooobrang namiss kita! You’re my favorite muse that night and partying with you and Joy reminds me a lot of our 2007 party nights back in Cebu!

And because I love you girls, the pics I uploaded are carefully screened haha!

I hope ya’ll have a Happy Halloweekend!

Cheers!

Because @joyjarumayan pumped up my Halloween Spirit!

Anyone close to me knows that I have this thing about Halloween. Halloween is like my personal holiday and through the years I’ve celebrated it in my own little way by playing dress up and attending Halloween parties.
