Blogopolis 2013: The Nuffie Awards Night!

I still have that "high" feeling from attending the Blogopolis #Intothe WILD event held by Nuffnang. Part two of the event is the much awaited Nuffie Awards Night!

More of the Awards Night after the jump!

Thank you Nuffnang for the awesome seats in the house! At first, I was feeling lucky that I get to seat in front and near the hosts' entrance, when I suddenly heard the Nuffnang staff saying the Becky Nights will occupy the couch.

I stood up and prepared to leave when one of the Nuffnang staff, their community manager told me not to leave my seat. So it means...

OMG! I get to sit with The Becky Nights!

Honestly I was prepared to meet high maintenance, primadonna beckies but I was so wrong. Not only they are very friendly, they are very pretty in person, I cannot even believe it. Even Queen Mother Divine Lee and Jenni Epperson looked so young in person compared to their online photos. I am dumbstruck the whole night.

I must have a photo op with my new seatmates!
Can you see my smile? I cannot stop smiling. My face must have appeared in a number of blogs, I even forgot to wear lipstick!

I am now in search for event photos on the net, because there's this shot where THE MATT GOZUN (The one on my right) wrapped his left arm around my arm, and all this time I was screaming profanities in my head in sheer becky delight!

As I said, Victor Basa came to sit at the chair next to me, that's how I got my photo op.  As I've dished out on Facebook, there's this difference between 20 year old bloggers VS 29-year old blogger (ehem):
20-yr-old bloggers: (rushing to Vic, speaking in a colehiyala voice) "Can I selfie with you?"
29-yr-old blogger (yours truly): " Hi, I'm a fan! Can I have a photo with you?"

I saw Victor Basa in person some 6 or 7 years ago during the Cosmo Bachelor bash at NBC Tent. He doesn't really register well on TV, but he is way good looking person.

I tried to keep smiling because they keep including me in pictures. I actually don't know how many blogs my face would appear, sitting just right next to the Becky nights and some of the casts of Geeky Nights ( Victor Basa and Abe Olandres). Actually I already saw one, hihi.

The show was opened by dance group from DLSU.
Too bad, majority of the bloggers and winners were not able to make it due to Typhoon Yolanda Relief operations. Nuffnang is even donating 100% of the proceeds of this event to Typhoon Yolanda Victims! YEY!

Ramon Bautista won all the categories that we was nominated in. He was not able to make it, but it's a good thing I already met him early part of this year, (also with a too-good-to-be-true seat)!

This guy who received the award represented Michael Lim of Fashion Pulis who won "The Following" Award. I heard he was here last year and was hilarious!

Jackie Go and Victor Basa were named Tarzan and Jane of the Night.

Justin (as he was reading the nominees) : Next up on stage... Divine Lee...(then mentioned other bloggers)

Mother Divine Lee came immediately on stage thinking either it might be her turn on stage or she won the award, only to find out that the host is just enumerating the names of the nominees.

Margaux of Becky Nights: Ay si Bakla lasing na! ( She's drunk already!)

Divine Lee laughed saying she thought she already won the big Oishi bag, then climbed down the stage. Her beau, Victor Basa, came to the rescue by grabbing Justin's microphone and said : " In fairness, you said... DIVINE LEE UP ON STAGE..."

Other nominees for the Rookie Award:

And my new favorite family won the award!

The second part of the awards night was all about games, raffle and give aways.

Divine Lee: "I agreed to this (hosting) only if I get to host the fun part... the games! "

I must have a photo of exactly how near I am at the stage. And the photo on the right is Matt Gozun's hand with the wall paper of his phone.

Check out the crowd of bloggers, photographers and social media savvy people.

This is the guy from googlygooeys.

Meanwhile, here's what's happening at the couch:
Matt Gozun (to me) : "Tara, inom tayo!" (C'mon let's drink)
Me: (smiled, declined and silently swooned in my head)

Divine called the Becky Nights to participate onstage and join the contest for making an on the spot Air Asia Commercial.

Here's Kevin Balot, Margaux Medina and Matt Gozun planning their acting:

I got it on video!

Becky Nights Air Asia Commercial from The Kea Channel on Vimeo.

And they won!  I eavesdropped heard that they're going to spend it in Boracay for the New Year's. Congratulations Becky Nights!

Other winners of the awards and give aways. They raffled off pocket printers, LG smartphones, round trip travel tickets and so much more!
Thank you to my official event photographer, my sister Aprille Araguas!

Congratulations Nuffnang for this successful event! Divine Lee disclosed that it took them 6 months of planning just to hold this much awaited event!

Aprille had her photo taken with Miss International Queen, Kevin Balot:

Kevin Balot is the ultimate gay crush of her colleagues.

And because I swore to my self I will not go home without a photo with Divine Lee, I immediately walked to her after the she got down from the stage.
I finally have my photo  with Queen Mother Becky, Divine Lee! She's so nice!

And Aprille and I get to take home a lot of goodies!

For the list of winners, you can read it here.
