The Magic Hot Compress

I think a couple of weeks ago I woke up with a bad back, so bad, that I can't even fall asleep. Knowing myself, I can sleep anywhere as soon as I'm sleepy. I've slept on bar ledges, public sofa in Starbucks, Burger King in Singapore, MRT in Magallanes and so on. So the fact that I had to wake up and sleep while sitting ( pillow leaning on the wall, me doing an indian seat) it is a big deal.

One day, my sister handed me over what she calls a "Magic Hot compress". At first it looked like a jelly bag with a loose lucky penny swimming inside it.

She told me to use my index finger and thumb to "feel" the penny/coin in the middle and press it, then watch what it does.

So I did:

Then this is what happened. It looked like there's smoke but crystalized substance coming out of the coin, like, yes, magic.

It went so fast you would think it's a micro mini smoke machine.
It started to occupy the entire bag, so fast. Faster than you can say "ouch"

It quickly filled up the supposedly jelly bag and when I touched it, it's hot! Like tea bag hot, not Paris- Hilton's-That's-Hot Hot!
Then as my sister demonstrated, after the crystal-like substance stopped spreading, place the bag on your body part that is sore.

Ladies, Gents and Beckies - The Magic Hot Compress.

After a while, it the whole bag would harden like there's a candle wax inside it. To make it into a fluid-jelly type again, you need to soak in hot/boiling water inside a container with cloth on it to prevent the bag from breaking. Then the wax will melt inside.

I don't know and I don't think this is advisable for kids though, because I think it's highly toxic.

I wish this bag would come with a cold compress version or a reversible version so that it's perfect for travel.

If you find the cold compress version of this, please drop a line to this post and let us know about it. :)

Hi Dennison. My sister got it from a friend. I think they bought it at a bazaar.

Would you happen to know which bazaar?
