All I got for Christmas is a BIG...SHORT...

One morning, I was hoping to eat bread from Breadtalk's plastic bag (Note: Bread inside is not from BreadTalk) :

When I got this surprise:
I was not wearing my glasses nor contacts and I really couldn't tell if I really am seeing this so I took out the plastic cover.
And checked it from a different angle
So I texted my sister:
"Where did you get the bread? Who ever gave this to you is such a big dick!"
She replied:
"Haha, we have the same reaction. The bakery across the boutique gave that as a gift. They said, it's supposed to be a frog!"
So I looked over and over this bread again:
And I did not see any effin' frog, instead what I see is a...

Cupcake Designing with Bonggak

Few months ago, I was playing cake designer with my kumare, Cecile (Check out her Show Cakes here) when she actually let me do the LV designs by my self!

Then few months later I actually found my self doing it for my part-time gig! So to sum up what happened for the past two days, here are the pictures:
Face-less little people
I did the hair of most of the tiny fondant people
Me putting a smile on his little fondant person's face
Happy little fondant people
Some inevitable mishaps
For Christening event
Cecile is really good sculpting every imaginable figures that can be done in a fondant!
A Baby in the Making
These go with the "baby" designs
Little fondant people on standby below:

Cupcakes waiting
We made this painstakingly one by one
Flower designs
Now, for the packaging part:
The little fondant boys and girls ready for delivery
So are the cutesy babies
Here's my personal favorite:

Cute baby in a cupcake
Cecile's Bonggak fondant pastries will soon be available in SM City Calamba, Laguna. For online orders you may check the Bonggak site!

What's in My Bag?

My sister's been practically beggin' me to give the current bag that I'm using a rest. She lifted my bag up one day and was super surprised to see how heavy it is.

So I decided to have an inventory check of what I usually carry around me ( I am not comfortable not having a bag around me) and minimized it to the best that I can. So here it is:

I cannot be without:
1. My surfer girl notebook of course, for gradschool.
2. My Papemelroti Notebook (for taking down ideas and concepts for shoots.)
3. My turning two years old iPod classic. ( This baby helped me through waiting long lines at the bank, scheduling of appointment with Professors, enrollment's long process and lines. )
4. My black "abanico" due to elbi's unpredictable weather.

They call me the ever-ready girl because my hot pink pencil case includes:
1. Three Pilot GTech pens 0.3, one must be blue for writing notes on the actual book. ( I learned to do that in grad school, write on the book, not just notebook. Plus, I really have a thing for black pens. I know it's something psychological, but I feel like I get to study and take notes better when I have a good pen that dances on paper. ).
2. Tiny pink stapler with marching pink staple wires.
3. Highlighter (must be yellow so I can see it better).
4. Erasers: Correction tape and Pencil Eraser (hey, where's my mechanical pencil?)
5. Pencil Sharpener.
6. Lead refill for Mechanical pencil (which is missin, by the way)
7. My 4G USB for storing files.
9. Beaded sample from a potential supplier.
10. Post it Flags.

Now that I am a full-time student, I now have a simplified kikay kit:
1. Loreal's GlamShine lipgloss.
2. Maybelline lipbalm.
3. Avon's Golden Wine lipstick (for emergency gimmick, it brightens up the face, as if you're wearing make up. I gave one to my good friend Joy and she loved it!)
4. My Lens Case for my contacts.
5. Saline solution both for refill and for lubricating.
6. Maybelline Powder Foundation.
7. Tweezers.
8. Hair Serum.
9. Paracetamol (Biogesic) for emergency purposes.
Last but not the least the important stuff:
1. My wallet (with my IDs and cards).
2. My mobile phone.
3. Keys ( I have car keys though I don't bring and need to bring the car to school).

Things not in the photo:
1. My BDJ Planner.
2. My folding umbrella.
3. Cellphone Charger.
4. Comb.

Any tips on how I can minimize?

She loves the way he lies... all over again.

Eminem and Rhianna's video was a sort of a reminder for both my good friend and me.

Me? Just the Rihanna part, but for her....well, I guess for her bunch of boyfriends, it might be applicable.

She said she remembered me when upon hearing Rihanna sing this:
Just gonna stand there
And watch me burn
But that's alright
Because I like
The way it hurts
Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that's alright
Because I love
The way you lie
I love the way you lie

And the rest of the violent psycho action was from the rest of her ex-boyfriends.

But we forgot another friend, who "owned" the lyrics and the action of this video, and If you watched the video, I guess showing this screenshot pretty much says what is always the root of all their endless fights:
I'm feelin' a little sad about hearing some news today about the same friend who loves the way her beau lies all over again.

How can a 20/20 vision be so blind? I guess, friends can only do so much.

I'm not new to relationships and I am fully aware how Love can make us crazy, delirious, irrational, stupid and furious but still at the end of the day  it all boils down to our own choices.

At the end of the day, is it all worth it?

After 5 years, 10 years, will it be all worth it?

HowTo Make Breakfast like a 7yr old

One Wednesday morning, I decided to be home alone for half of the day and just play couch potato. Seeing a loaf of sliced plain bread, I decided to play around with breakfast.
Butter or Margarine
Chocolate Drops from baker's Depot
Rainbow Sprinkles
How to sweeten it up:
1. Spread the butter/ margarine on top of the bread.
2. Add the Chocolate Drops and Rainbow Sprinkles.
3. Put it in a Oven Toaster for 3 minutes, then serve!
3 minutes is just right
Without Rainbow Sprinkles
With Rainbow Sprinkles
Ta-dah!
I wish my phone's 2.0 MP cam has Macro
Important: Make sure to have water within reach because it is really sweeeeeeet!!!

Maggie and Victor's Pre-Wedding Video & Images

The controversial Video
But I like it!

To access the original video, click here for Jason Magbanua's Site.

Wait there's More! Check out the Maggie and Vic: The Images

I received this from my sis last week and she said "grabe" but my mom (who's conservative) thinks it's okay and tasteful.

I think so too!

I think Maggie is very hot and pretty in this video, and her soon to be hubby looks good on this video than TV interviews.

I like the music by Glory Box that I just had to download it. Great for music background while shooting sexy pictorials. I was playing Katherine McPhee's Terrified the whole time while shooting Mina's sexy pictorial and my friends are already gagging at the repeat mode! Lol!

I don't get it why people are soooo OA in saying that it's malaswa, hello? Maybe we should stop being a bunch of hypocrites, as if naman marami pang Maria Clara ngayon. After all, as Maggie said in her interview "It's our video....".

Ang showbiz naman ng post na to. Haha.

Hierarchy on the Passenger Seat

Not to get all mushy or something, but once I rode on a passenger seat of a red car ( I just have to mention the color so as not to confuse the person who knows, Meh-ganon? ) and while driving around nature, I can almost hear that Stephen Speaks song:

" And I've got all that I need; Right here in the passenger seat
Oh and I can't keep my eyes on the road;Knowing that she's inches from me..."

When driving or hitching a ride at a friends' car, who do we allow to take the Passenger seat?

If it's a small kid, hands down, they will have to take the back seat. But how about the rest?

I believe there is hierarchy in sitting on the passenger seat. We only allow those truly important to us to be inches away from us while we're driving.

There is this automatic mindset that when a group of friends are in a carpool, there is a non-verbal agreement that a certain someone will take on the passenger seat. It may be the wife/husband/best friend/boyfriend/girlfriend of the person who's driving, or if there is no relationship between the passenger, it is usually the person who has the closest connection to that gets to sit on the passenger seat. If not the closest, he or she may be of the highest importance.

There's something about being inches away from the driver. I remember getting all so giggly while wearing a seatbelt and driving around town and enjoying nature. Though I hate having my hair all over the place, there's just this sweet feeling inside that feels like we are two like poles magnet that tries to repel each other and yet the connection is there. There's something about allowing the other person get to be inches away from your personal bubble.

I used to get really all perked up and giggly hearing that Stephen Speak's Passenger seat song:

"I look at her and have to smile; As we go driving for a while
Looking nowhere in the open window of my car
And as we go the traffic lights; Watch them glimmer in her eyes
In the darkness of the evening..."

But I lost all that kilig feeling when I attended my friend's Bachelorette birthday party couple of years ago at a gay bar in the city, and the male stripper was gyrating to that song. :(

PickMeUppers: Mani-Pedi

Earlier today I had a little nega vibe hangin around in me. I blame it on the PMS. So it's a good thing, my cousin paid me a visit and we decided to hit the spa.

One of my cousin and I's favorite bonding activity is going to the spa for either a massage or a mani-pedi.

A quote from Cosmo Phils Magazine, November 2010 Issue:
So we did. (But that's not us below)
Today I decided to have my toes french tip-ed:

My nails got a different color:
I like how my manicurist, Mylene, paints my nails. She makes sure the brush reaches the sides of my nails, and the stroke of the nail color brush is consistent.

My cousin decided to get a paraffin wax:

Paraffin Wax treatments are defined as:

"Paraffin wax treatments are luxurious spa treatments that are intended to moisturize and soften the skin. Paraffin wax treatments are most often applied to the hands and feet as components of manicures and pedicures respectively. Paraffin wax is unlike more common spa wax that is used for hair removal on the face and body. That type of wax is much more viscous and bonds to the skin." (Source: WiseGeek )

I like how therapists really take care of you:
My Cousin also had her hands waxed:

Her hand was all sweaty when the wax was peeled off

A guy beside me was getting his Pick-Me-Upper as well.

And while waiting for my nails to dry, I usually go through all the colors of the nail color that they have and discovered almost similar shade and name of the nail color, manufactured by different brands.
Meet Violet Velvet (Brand:Chic) and Blue Velvet (Caronia)
After  2 hours in the spa just for mani-pedi,( well my cousin had several stuff lined up for her) we decided it's time to go.

Note: I do not recommend putting on a "quick-dry" solution. It'll only make the surface dry, but the deeper part, like the middle part of the painted nail is nt yet done. I read somewhere that if you want to make sure that your nails are now ready, make sure to do the ff:

  • Double coat is the max, do not exceed with the color/ nail color application.
  • Listen to 3 songs consecutively while basically doing noting. (Just waiting for your nails to dry.)
  • Dip your fingertips into a cold water for 10 seconds and pull it up. Then Air Dry.
I tried it and it worked!
